Description:Integration Engineers work at the forefront of Zocdoc's Synchronizer technology, facilitating the technical integrations between Zocdoc and providers' scheduling platforms. As part of the Technology organization, the Integration Engineer works with client-facing teams and other engineers to build, deploy, and maintain Zocdoc's proprietary integrations and associated tools, ensure a high level of product efficacy, and meet client needs.In this role you will directly contribute to the critical link between Zocdoc and our provider users. You'll join a high functioning team that takes pride in growing and mentoring engineers, and there are many opportunities to learn new skills and find your own niche.What you'll do:* Build and maintain the integrations that connect Zocdoc to providers and health systems* Grow your coding skills by developing client and/or vendor requested customizations and features* Maintain our integration infrastructure within AWS* Consult with internal teams as well as partners and enterprise clients in the role of product expert* Serve as an escalation point for our tier 2 support team* Conduct feasibility studies on API specs as well as consult on internal API designWhat's required:* Any 4 year degree and 2-3 years of experience in a highly technical role (ex: Product Specialist, QA Engineer, Systems Admin)* Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technical domains* Proven track record of being proactive and self-motivated - you find new problems to solve* Experience troubleshooting REST and SOAP APIs, including authentication (OAuth, JWT, etc.) and familiarity with related tooling (Postman, curl, SoapUI, etc.)* Experience with scripting (Python, bash, powershell, etc.)* Experience with SQL and relational databases* Experience working with clients and other external contacts* Eye for product and process improvements / automation opportunities* Experience with C# or similar OO language* Familiarity with network troubleshooting (VPNs, remote DB connections, certificates)Experience in one or more of the following is highly preferred:* Building API clients or servers* AWS products like Dynamo, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation* Logging and alerting systems (Datadog, Sentry, Kibana)* Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology* Healthcare interoperability, especially with technologies like HL7 or FHIR* Scheduling integrations and/or time libraries like nodatime, momentjs, luxon, jodatime/javatime, etc.* Building / maintaining ETL pipelines, and associated tools (Databricks, Python, Redshift)* Data analysis / BI / data science and/or associated tooling (Tableau, Looker, Redshift/Spectrum, PowerBI, Databricks)
