WSP is currently initiating a search for a Systems Manager (Technical Manager) for our Newark, NJ office.













**Duties and Responsibilities:**












+ Manage and provide oversight of train control systems implementation





+ Program/project management reporting on program/project progress





+ Capable of review of staffing levels and augmenting where and when necessary





+ Apply advanced knowledge of train control systems engineering principles and techniques.





+ Apply understanding of industry standard design processes and understanding of appropriate engineering means and methods.





+ standard train control commissioning processes for new and existing construction as found in APTA, AREMA & IEEE Guidelines.





+ Perform engineering design reviews for implementation and commissioning related activities.





+ Conduct support for obtaining systems certifications from FRA on PTC systems, etc.





+ Perform engineering work to include a variety of train control systems (ATC, PTC, CBTC) and validation against specifications and requirements.





+ Apply knowledge of PTC & CBTC systems to evaluate and test the performance of these systems.





+ Apply knowledge and skill in using a variety of computer programs and technology used in solving engineering problems.





+ Work within project scope, budgets, and design approach to deliver projects to clients on time, on budget, and at a high level of client service.

# Job Requirements

**Minimum Qualifications:**












+ Minimum 18 years of railroad and/or transit industry systems engineering experience





+ Masters's degree in engineering required





+ PTC, ATC and CBTC experience





+ Quality Control / Quality Assurance experience





+ Proficiency with MS Office software, project scheduling software





+ Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and team membersPreferred Qualifications

+ Professional registration





+ PMP certification





+ INCOSE Certification
