Are you a master multi-tasker looking to expand your professional experience? A vibrant biotech company seeks a bright and passionate Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join their team! This position stands on a contract basis; however, it has the potential to convert into permanent work. The individual in this role will perform basic clerical tasks, including managing and maintaining physical and digital filing systems, operating office equipment, and completing general office work. Moreover, this is a great opportunity for customer focused individual that has a desire to grow their career in Talent Acquisition or Human Resources.

  • Gather and index personal employee files (Employee benefit documents, LOA, background check, drug screening data, etc.)
  • Coordinate calendars, schedules, and conference rooms
  • Assist with New Hire packet benefit guide, employee handbook, and benefit notices
  • Upload compliance documents
  • Set up employee photos for company Intranet and badge access
  • Schedule, participate in, and manage weekly HR team meetings
  • Oversee digital and paper copies of all new hire documentation (Employee Files, I-9s, E-verify, etc)
  • Enter Purchase Requisitions for the HR Department
  • Manage the monthly benefit invoice reconciliation
  • Process termination and final paperwork for employees
  • Run the pricing, purchasing and sending out interview and new hire gifts

  • Bachelor s degree
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in an HR role in either corporate or agency
  • Social Media Savvy
  • Experience with Taleo
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Microsoft Office expertise (Excel, PowerPivot, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, organized, analytical and collaborative
  • Capacity to multi-task, take initiative, work independently, and use creative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create and maintain a team spirit and harmonious working relationships
