The Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) assists individuals with disabilities to make informed choices that will maximize their employment through coordinated service delivery. In collaboration with the Workforce Network, we deliver quality workforce services to individuals with disabilities who want to work and employers seeking to hire them.

We are currently seeking an individual to serve as the Human Services Manager in our Fishersville DRS office. The incumbent in this position will manage all programmatic and administrative functions to ensure efficient and effective daily operations; provide direct supervision to customer service delivery and support staff; provide comprehensive vocational rehabilitation services within established policies and procedures; and manage assigned fiscal resources. This position also serves on the Workforce Board and various public speaking engagements in the community.

Minimum Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of human service delivery systems; demonstrated knowledge of personnel management, policies, procedures, and techniques; demonstrated knowledge of budget planning and fiscal management; demonstrated knowledge of community resources; demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex policies and procedures in the provision of services; experience establishing employment opportunities through contacts with businesses and other organizations within the community; experience motivating and training professional and support staff; demonstrated ability to work professionally and effectively with diverse clientele and a variety of contacts; demonstrated ability to communicate information effectively in writing and verbally; demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities; and demonstrated experience using Windows based computer software.
Experience supervising or directing the work of others. Experience with leadership and training activities. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from varying social and economic environments; to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to interpret and apply complex policies and procedures in the provision of services; to establish employment opportunities through contacts with businesses and other organizations within the community; to organize and manage multiple and sometimes unrelated responsibilities in a timely manner; to prioritize duties and exercise responsible judgment with minimal supervision; to motivate and train professional and support staff; and to participate in a multi-disciplinary team setting in building collaborative networks.

Masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or closely related field. College level transcripts must accompany application and must display the date the degree was awarded.

Preferred Qualifications

Current CRC credential or eligible to sit for the CRC.
