What You Will Do

Product excellence is at the heart of The North Face s success. Achieving a leadership position in the marketplace requires innovative thinking and the ability to inspire all product creation shareholders. The Global Product Manager is responsible for assisting in driving the assigned product classification planning and commercialization process. The Product Manager owns relevant information on consumer and competitors. Assists Senior Product Manager in identifying trends, business analysis and consumer insights from wear tests or focus groups. Reports to and works closely with category Sr. Product Manager.

How You Will Make A Difference

  • Supports Design to Cost cross-check to track to Margin Targets
  • Helps Build Product Brief
  • Owns Visual Line Plans throughout season
  • Owns competitive landscape and positioning research
  • Helps team track to key calendar dates
  • Conducts and/or participates in weekly team meetings to ensure teams are aligned and address issues etc.
  • Assists in coordination of cross-functional process of On-Going R&D
  • Support sales and Merchandising with Product Education tools and presentations for sales meetings
  • Presents product lines at key meetings
  • Supports in driving commercialization of market leading product
  • Expertise on the competitive market
  • What You Bring

  • 3-7 years of related Professional Experience: 3-7.
  • BA or BS Degree
  • Demonstrable successes in managing an apparel or equipment lines.
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Works effectively within a team.
  • Influential in building positive partnerships with cross functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of apparel and/or footwear construction, materials/fabrics.
  • Understands materials, fit, function, and end use requirements.
  • Contributions in assisting management of a category.
