DescriptionVerily, an Alphabet company, lives at the intersection of technology, data science and healthcare. We are developing tools and devices to collect, organize and activate health data, and creating interventions to prevent and manage disease.The Verily Data Integration team is looking for solutions engineers to help fulfill this mission. We are responsible for the ingestion, curation and serving of multiple data streams (genomics, microbiome, device, clinical, etc.). We have helped impact a number of Verily projects including Project Baseline, Precision Medicine Initiative, and others.Our team combines expertise in biology, chemistry, physics, medicine, engineering, computer science, and more to create interventions that exponentially improve patient care. We partner with leading life sciences, medical device and government organizations to enable fast development, meaningful advances, and deployment at scale. Our work spans many projects, including Project Baseline, the quest to map human health beginning with a 10,000 person observational study; Liftware, stabilizing utensil handles to aid individuals with hand tremor or limited mobility; and Debug, an effort to eradicate mosquito-borne disease with Sterile Insect Technique. For more information, please visit our website.Responsibilities Perform implementation reviews, champion new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges. Understand and advocate for partner feedback and use cases. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to prioritize timely follow-through and elegant design of new features and improved functionality. Improve product feature offerings by providing feedback to internal cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering. Identify, drive, and optimize technical and business process flows for existing and new opportunities. QualificationsMinimum qualifications: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience. Experience working with one or more of the following programming languages: PHP, Python, SQL, Java, and/or .Net. 1 year of professional software development experience. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills, combined with a strong sense of ownership, and a proactive can-do attitude. Excellent communication and project management skills, with a track record of handling multiple customers and streams of work. Experience with public cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services and/or Azure.
