As the Financial Analyst, you will be a key member of the URBN Financial Planning and Analysis Team. This position will work closely with the business financial teams and various corporate functions leads on financial projects and analyses. Key responsibilities include supporting business analysis, reporting, budgeting, strategic initiatives and various ad hoc projects.


  • Responsible for periodic reporting, variance analysis, and presenting the results to management
  • Compilation of weekly performance reporting for the executive team
  • Provide insightful analytics that anticipate change and drive decision making
  • Key role in corporate-wide budget process: supporting the corporate departments and brands, monitoring completeness, accuracy and consistency of budget submissions, working to escalate and resolve inaccuracies
  • Complete various ad hoc requests that assist management in decision making and business case analysis
  • Assist with the financial section of the quarterly board meetings presentations
  • Provide ongoing support to brand and corporate partners
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in finance or business analysis, preferably in retail or apparel industry
  • Experience in applying finance principles to business operations
  • Working knowledge of financial systems: Hyperion, MicroStrategy
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership, proactive problem solving skills
  • Highly organized, motivated, detail oriented, a sense of urgency, and an ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong ability to clearly present high-level summary of findings and recommendations
  • Proven track record of meeting financial deadlines with complete accuracy
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, action-oriented environment
  • Education

    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Finance/Accounting.
