Pharma Supply Chain Master Scheduler Tris Pharma, Inc. (www.trispharma.com) is a rapidly growing, technology-driven pharmaceutical company engaged in branded and generic product development. Located in Monmouth Junction NJ, Tris has an immediate opening for a Master Scheduler The Master Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring products through the complete production cycle while supporting and following manufacturing quality controls and procedures in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) standards and batch record specifications. The incumbent collaborates closely with all internal areas of manufacturing, packaging and operations – as well as external vendors and clients – on a regular basis to ensure alignment and optimization of both the short-and long-term production plans and that accurate and timely scheduling is achieved. Interfaces with, and supports, Manufacturing department and function by accurately and realistically scheduling manufacturing activities to create a smooth and manageable flow of work through all relevant areas and machinery; Balances demand from packaging schedule with produced/scheduled batches in the manufacturing processes; Analyzes and optimizes equipment and staff utilization; Compensates and corrects for last-minute requirements and schedule challenges (i.e., staff limitations, equipment failure, component usability, etc.). • Interfaces with, and supports, Packaging department and function by accurately and realistically scheduling packaging activity to create a smooth and manageable flow of work through all relevant areas and machinery; Balances demand from both internal and external customers with produced/scheduled batches in the manufacturing processes; Analyzes and optimizes equipment and staff utilization; Compensates and corrects for last-minute requirements and schedule challenges (i.e., staff limitations, equipment failure, component usability, etc.). • Monitors material availability, tracks progress of production, and reviews factors which may affect schedules; Collaborates closely with internal and external associates (i.e., buyers, planners, manufacturing and packaging supervisors, etc.) to assist in the resolution of labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions via appropriate channels and remediations; Identifies and communicates scheduling issues, conflicts and decisions to proper departments and individuals affected by the schedule changes, as needed • Revises schedules, as necessary, to optimize plant efficiencies while maintaining target manufacturing delivery performance • Supports daily Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) maintenance and functionality by maintaining accurate and timely work orders at the appropriate detailed level to reflect schedule, component requirements, and order interrelationships, as needed QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field AND minimum 2 years supply chain, logistics, production planning, inventory control or other related manufacturing or operations experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry OR a combination of education and 3 years above experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. • Current working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) in the pharmaceutical industry • Working knowledge or familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging functions • Working knowledge or familiarity with purchasing, planning and other supply chain functions • Strong data entry skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Hands on experience with JD Edwards ERP or other comparable ERP systems PREFERRED Tris Pharma, Inc. offers a highly competitive compensation and benefits package.
