SHIFT: PRN

SCHEDULE: PRN/Per Diem

Trident Health is a multi-facility

hospitals Trident Medical Center and Summerville Medical Center and Moncks
Corner Medical Center, which provides outpatient medical services and 24/7

We are searching for an Anesthesia
tech to join our team for a PRN position. Under the direction and
supervision of Department supervisor.







Position Summary:




Coordinates
and manages activities related to anesthesia department. Maintains anesthesia
machines and equipment. Sets up operating rooms with required anesthesia and
physiologic monitoring equipment in preparation for anesthesia in surgical and
obstetric suites. Removes and cleans equipment at end of procedures (if
possible) and restocks anesthesia supplies for subsequent use. Job may include direct supervision of
students at the discretion of the area supervisor. Employee must have the same licensure or have
completed the same training to satisfy
the requirements of the discipline of the student. Direct supervision means the primary
caregiver is readily available to the student throughout the shift.







Position
Requirements:





Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Healthcare provider




Education:




Basic reading comprehension required




Experience:




  • Operating Room or hospital experience
    preferred
  • Performs in
    accordance with delineated job responsibilities and satisfactorily completes a yearly
    evaluation based on these responsibilities
  • Must possess the knowledge and skills
    necessary to effectively meet the needs of the patient/internal & external customer.








Special qualifications:




  • Prior
    knowledge of anesthesia equipment and supplies preferable.
  • Ability
    to read, write, speak, and comprehend English to successfully use electronic
    monitoring equipment.
  • Strong
    organizational skills needed.










Degree of Supervision Required:


Involves general guidance and direction
by Patient Care Coordinator / OR Manager.
