Location - Prefer candidates who reside in the Washington DC area; will consider people in nearby states who are willing to travel to DC frequently.

How will you make an impact?

The primary focus of this role is to deliver the insight, strategy and influence to ensure that Fisher Scientific realizes strong profitable organic revenue growth across Middle East, Africa, Latin America & Asia Pacific, in the NGO segment. The NGO Business Development Manager will interact with customers, suppliers and internally with the relevant functions to understand the NGO segment needs in order to effectively develop a go-to-market strategy aligning product portfolio development and positioning strategy. The NGO Business Development Manager will drive collaboration with the Regional teams in Africa, Middle East, Latin America and Asia Pacific.

What will you do?

  • Develop and deliver a strategy to capture NGO business across EEMEA. Drive execution of that strategy in close collaboration with the EEMEA sales team.
  • Explore the full opportunity and potential of the NGO market segment by thoroughly understanding the specific needs of that segment, main players and dynamic of that segment in order to develop the right tactical plan to position RSD as a key partner for the targeted NGO.
  • Develop and deliver a strategy to position RSD as the catalyst for cross-divisional opportunities by developing cross divisional tactical growth initiatives for NGO, leveraging Corporate structure and Corporate Account function.
  • How will you get here?

    Education

    Possession of a Bachelor s degree in business, or a scientific field. An advanced degree in business or science is preferred.

    Experience

  • Experience in a business / market development role including market research
  • Multi-tasking experience and flexibility to address immediate priorities and still manage deadlines with longer-term projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Understanding of the market dynamics specific to the NGO segments.
  • Demonstrable ability to deliver project management and influence change within an international, matrixed organization.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong commercial background and a record of sales success, ability to negotiate at global level
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer orientation and problem solving skills are required with a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong strategic and influencing qualities.
  • Able to travel within the region, to co-ordinate with local commercial team (Middle East and Africa).
  • Able to interact with senior leaders and work closely with Corporate Accounts Team
