The Food and Nutrition Department on the Manhattan campus is looking for part time Food Service Workers to join our team!
The candidates must have general knowledge of food preparation and handling techniques; able to execute various food service assignments; able to work as a team member, and can work independently given the proper direction. Can provide a clean, safe and neat environment for residents, self and staff.
The essential duties and responsibilities are as follows:
* Assists in the storage preparation, portioning and serving food * Cleans immediate work areas and maintains clean and sanitary work environment * Washing of small wares and equipment, conforming to all sanitary codes and standards * Prepares cold foods, salads and nourishment as needed * Performs other related duties as required
Ability to communicate and respond politely to customers.
Six months previous food service experience preferred.
Flexible to work various days during the week and weekends.
