TITLE: Sr. Manager of Product Development Men's and Women's 1941
JOB DUTIES: The Sr. Manager of Product Development Men's and Women's 1941 will lead Early Development process by working with Design and Merchandising to communicate and execute concepts and aesthetic intentions. Collaborate with the design team & global partners to execute designs, produce styles and execute all protos during the product design lifecycle. Work with global teams to maintain product integrity with respect to last, construction, upper & proto development. Partner with Design to identify, evaluate and eliminate all technical risks with regard to construction, fit & wear. Oversee creation and maintenance of specs sheets from concept thru commercialization in partnership with Design. Initiate and follow up on all development from proto's through commercialization. Manage Special Project & PR requests. Manage and approve Confirmation Samples. Manage Wear Test Program, communicate findings and troubleshot any issues. Initiate strategies to improve fit, comfort and quality. Manage product development process with adherence to all PDT milestones. Analyze and manage development styles/sku requests. Manage and Report on seasonal Adoption Rates. Anticipate and troubleshoot issues, find contingency plans, drive resolution and communicate as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's Degree or Foreign Equivalent in Fashion, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. Must have five years of experience in the job offered or related position including the following experience: 5 years of experience in product development in footwear and related categories; 5 years of experience with costing and negotiating; 5 years of experience traveling and working in different countries; 5 years of experience in industrialization; 5 years of managerial experience over design of fit and comfort.
