Construction Project Superintendent - Spotsylvania, VA


The company provides comprehensiveDesign+Build construction services worldwide, including physical and technicalsecurity upgrades, site and building renovations, new construction services,and utility modernizations. The company specializes in Design+Build servicesfor mission-critical facilities. The company routinely works at highly secure,sensitive and historic sites. This work has included significant new buildingconstruction, demolition, repair and renovation of buildings, systems and siteinfrastructure. Additionally, our team has performed a number of physicalsecurity upgrades in the Mid-Atlantic and National Capital region, to includeactive and passive vehicle barriers, crash-rated fencing and associatedTechnical Security Systems (TSS).

Job Description

The Construction Project Superintendent managesthe day-today field activities to ensure that the project milestone dates andoverall schedule completion date is met. Creating and maintaining aculture that values worker safety, production of quality work, and teamwork.Meeting with client representative re: project status, proactively identify andresolve problems and to assure that the client is kept informed of any issues,delays and resolutions. Managing self-performed activities to ensure that workis being performed within the established project budget. Managing changes inproject scope to ensure that the most current contract documents are being usedat all times and maintain red-line drawings. Create daily progress reports,accident/incident reports, document potential changes and communicate thesewith the appropriate project personnel/agency.

CoreResponsibilities

Understanding and administering the safetyprogram across subcontractors and the entire job site, ensuring that allaccidents/incidents are promptly reported and investigated, and assisting insafety inspections by outside agencies

Maintain quality throughout the project andensure that all contractual obligations are met.

Maintain detailed daily log of all activitiesand site issues, managing project plan and schedule to include the final punchlist and closeout process including acceptance

Maintain organized processes and good workingrelationships with all subcontractors

Develop and organize the site team, arrangingfor temporary facilities/utilities for the site

Collaborate with the project manager and siteteam throughout the life of the project to ensure project success.



Requirements

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

10+years' experience in commercial or multi-family construction, includingexperience with a commercial general contractor/government constructionexperience is a plus

Provenexperience creating, monitoring and maintaining safe construction sites

QualityControl including OSHA 30 Certification

Experienceowning, coordinating and delivering milestones per project schedules

Experiencedeveloping subcontractor relationships

Highschool diploma required, four-year degree from an accredited university withinthe construction, engineering, or business concentrations strongly preferred

Abilityto organize necessary resources, including people, resources and time to meettight deadlines and achieve desired results

Experiencewith the following software systems is highly desired: Microsoft Office suite(ex. Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), ProCore & Adobe

Abilityto walk and/or stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift up to50lbs

Communicateclearly, concisely, and professionally, with a strong focus on writing andverbal communication skills

Experiencein and ability to coordinate, gather and interpret data/sub-contractorinformation and relay that information through clear, concise communication

Collaboratewith people of various backgrounds and styles

Createand maintain relationships with colleagues, clients, subcontractors, andvendors
