  • Support data compilation (e.g., process, analytics, manufacturing) to prepare analyses-ready data files, figures, and visualizations within a defined quality-controlled process, as you improve the efficiency and quality of existing workflows.
  • Work cross-functionally among R&D teams, workstreams, and programs to provide technical support and expertise across the Cell Therapy portfolio.
  • Perform exploratory data analyses, static and dynamic data visualizations to communicate quantitative results enabling data-driven program decisions
  • Assist in defining key engineering parameters, process design factors, and unit operation specifications facilitating quality-by-design (QbD) and design of experiment (DoE) aims.
  • Assist in identifying analytical improvement areas in compliance with good laboratory practices (GLP).
  • Actively communicate with nonclinical leads, scientists, production and analytical teams to inform program strategies and engineering designs, as well as statisticians and modelers for input and analyses interpretation.
  • Assist in risk assessment, mitigations, scenarios, and proactive planning to ensure synergy and innovation among functions.

    To participate in the Takeda’s Summer Intern Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Applicants must be enrolled in a U.S. accredited university for the semester before and immediately following the internship.
  • Grade point average of 3.0 or higher

  • Minimum GPA of 3.4 preferred.
  • Enrolled in a BS program in one of the following: Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Sciences, Statistics or a related field and/or experience in computational biology, bioinformatics, systems biology, or mechanistic modeling
  • Graduate students in a M.S. or Ph.D. program (related fields above) are eligible to apply for this internship position.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of at least 1 high-level computing language such as: R, C/C++, Java, Python, Perl, and willingness to learn other(s).
