Director of Contracts Department: General and Administrative Division Office: Corporate Headquarters Location: Danvers, MA START YOUR APPLICATION Director of Contracts Position Description: Sumaria Systems, Inc. is a successful defense contractor, which has been in business for 36+ years. We are seeking a Director of Contracts to be located at our corporate office in Danvers, MA, to work and manage the execution of Contracts and Subcontracts functions supporting both Government (DoD) and Commercial Contract functional areas. As an experienced Contracts Director, you will draw upon your knowledge and experience to prepare, negotiate and administer multiple government and commercial/international contracts and subcontract agreements of moderate to high dollar value, risk level, creativity, and complexity from cradle-to-grave, consistent with client requirements and Sumaria procurement policies/procedures. This position is also the primary point of contact for all pricing actions. Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to the following): * Function as principal point of contact, managing multiple contracts & subcontracts in all phases * Prepare moderate to complex contractual documents * Oversee and perform pricing proposals and negotiations * Point of contact for The Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) * Collaborate with the proposal team * Fully immersed with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) compliance, General Services Administration (GSA) Schedules requirements, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR) * Resolve contractual issues and recommend business solutions to Leadership * Lead government practice briefings on regulatory trends and their impact on divisions/book of business. * Oversee configuration management of baseline documentation related to contracts, subcontracts, vendors, and teammates * Motivate, manage and influence individuals in a highly collaborative and matrixed environment * Manage all contracts staff within the company * Analyze complete package of bid and/or contract award documents in collaboration with the appropriate company functional owners to accept or negotiate acceptable terms as required and or obtain internal approvals. * Participate in overall proposal process to minimize associated risks once contract is awarded.
