Senior Accountant Audit

Join a growing, dynamic local CPA firm in Westwood NJ! We are looking for a staff or senior accountant who values a collegial and flexible work environment, is seeking interesting and challenging work for great clients and a continual focus on your professional development. This newly created position due to growth will perform diverse duties including in individual and corporate tax and auditing in a variety of industries, including non-profit.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Preparation & review of individual and business tax returns

·        Preparation of compiled, reviewed and audited financial statements on a quarterly and annual basis

·        Prepare payroll tax returns

·        Establish strong working relationships with clients, providing a superior level of service

·        Plan, budget and manage/run client engagements

·        Act as the primary point of contact with clients

·        Prepare and review partnership and corporate tax returns

·        Provide proactive value-added services

REQUIREMENTS

§ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting

§ CPA designation preferred

§ 2-5 years’ experience in public accounting including Accounting, Auditing, Individual and Business Income Tax preparation

§ Strong technical skills including knowledge of current financial accounting standards/theory and / or tax compliance and research and GAAP

§ Non-profit audit experience a plus

§ Superior client service skills with proven ability to interact successfully with clients

§ Excellent written and oral communication skills

§ Team player who takes initiative and assists when needed yet can work independently

§ Detail-oriented and highly organized

§ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

§ Strong work ethic

§ High Integrity

§ Proven ability to meet deadlines as assigned

§ Proficiency with Pro System Tax, Adobe PDF, QuickBooks and Microsoft Office applications

§ Ability to travel locally
