Our Medical Oncology unit is a fast-paced and diverseunit caring mostly for acute medical cases to include, but not limited to:sepsis, pulmonary, ETOH and drug withdrawal, diabetes, etc. Our oncologypatients are typically seen by nurses who have their chemo certification,making this an excellent opportunity for Med/Surg RNs to cross train intooncology.We are proud to be anaccredited Chest Pain Center & Cardiovascular Center of Excellence, aPrimary Stroke Center, and a Level II Trauma Center.

As a Medical Oncology RN you need to know how to:
Recognize and address patients psychologicaland physical needs
Foster continuity and quality of care with thebest interest and well-being of patients and their families in mind
Assess a patients medical status upon admission
Assist in developing individualized treatmentplans
Comply with evaluation, treatment anddocumentation guidelines
Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs
Participate in clinical team conferences
Continually expand your knowledge
Help improve our facility and safety programs
Follow hospital, regulatory and professionalguidelines, policies and procedures
Communicate compassionately and effectively
We hire people, not resumes. But we also expectexcellence, which is why we require:
ASN / ADN from an accredited program with theability to obtain your BSN from an accredited program within four (4) years ofhire unless you possess a minimum of fifteen (15) years of proven continuousRegistered Nurse experience in an acute care setting, required
Current Colorado RN license or ability toobtain, required
Current BLS certification, required
At least one (1) year of nursing experience in acomparable setting, highly preferred
