We are looking for a Solutions Consultant to assist SS&C's global sales teams with all facets of new business opportunities pertaining to our alternatives business and related outsourcing services. In this role you will work across business development, operations, and technology teams, as well as our prospective clients, to design the ultimate solution for the client's needs. Primary areas of focus include, but are not limited to: designing client solutions for complex deals, preparing for and delivering professional presentations, completing request for proposals (RFP), and managing presentation schedules.
* Assist the sales team in all aspects of a complex, lengthy strategic sales cycle to achieve goals * Assist in shaping messaging on products and/or provide product data and presentation content/ideas * Continued education in SS&C's evolving client servicing capabilities by building and maintaining strong relationships with regional sales and operations contacts in order to produce accurate RFP responses * Respond to inbound RFPs and RFI requests and take responsibility for designing platform strategy and qualification meetings with all relevant team members * Develop a thorough understanding of the audience and the documentation required by meeting with colleagues and working with subject matter experts to discuss technical solutions * Determine the most efficient method for preparing and providing RFP response content to facilitate reader comprehension * Prepare and edit technical fund services response content * Research and build knowledge about products, services, technology, or concepts to be documented * Prepare and commission graphics / illustrations to elaborate on and/or complement technical writing * Meet with subject matter experts to ensure that specialized topics are appropriately addressed and discussed * Verify that the message within the proposal remains consistent throughout the document and that SS&C's value propositions are properly integrated and conveyed * Remain up-to-date on technological and product developments as well as universal specifications relevant to the industry
Skills and Educational Experience Required:
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills * Outstanding organization and prioritization skills * Demonstrated ability to successfully accomplish responsibilities in high-pressure, high-workload environment * Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision * Comfortable presenting to large groups and senior leadership teams * Superior attention to detail * Superb grammar and vocabulary * Sound marketing / sales instincts * Ability to identify and overcome potential objections that could be raised by prospective clients * Expertise with Microsoft Office applications - specifically MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel * Deep understanding of alternative investment management industry * Advanced graphic design skills is a plus * Direct alternative investment management operational or technical experience is a plus * Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
