Description: The Lockheed Martin International Government Affairs Middle East, Africa, and Latin American staff position will be responsible for being the voice of the customer , driving collaboration between Lockheed Martin s Business Areas, Government Affairs, Lockheed Martin International, and other corporate functions that results in consistent actions and messaging. This position directly supports the Senior Manager, LM International Government Affairs, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America Region.
Responsibilities will include: ? Manage internal coordination for program pursuits in region. Ensure that LM International, Corporate organizations, all Business Areas and Government Affairs have regular interface to discuss priorities in region. ? Lead Lockheed Martin s engagement with designated foreign embassies; ? Represent Lockheed Martin at a variety of external events; ? Draft white papers as needed to support activities in country and in the US; ? Support executive travel into region, including coordination of executive agendas, meeting preparation and strategic messaging; ? Drive coordination of executive engagement at tradeshows and conferences in region; ? Research and maintain international partner/competitor information, including suppliers; ? Provide coverage for other regions or programs as needed; ? Manage and perform other duties as assigned in support of team mission. Basic Qualifications: ? Experience and keen understanding of strategic issues impacting the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, and the U.S. relationship with allies in the region ? Demonstrated knowledge in business, political, economic, and international government affairs ? Experience in presenting complex strategies and information to both peers and sr. level management Desired Skills: ? Master's degree in business, international relations or related field ? Past experience working directly with senior U.S. or foreign officials on Middle East security, defense or commercial issues ? Past experience working with an internationally focus non-profit, think tank or other institute or council ? Understanding of regional culture and customer procurement process ? Past experience working and/or living overseas ? Excellent writing communication skills ? Proficiency in a foreign language (Arabic)
