Provide on-site direct behavioral health care services to people with Developmental Disabilities in a residential setting. Provides oversight to home operations and performs duties in the areas of: staff supervision, operational administration, home management, therapeutic intervention, teaching skills, documentation, Individual Habilitation Plan and/or Treatment Plan development. Responsible for providing daily structure and coverage to the residence, which includes supervision and assistance with living skills, personal care needs, case management, auditing medication, transportation service, crisis management, recreational and social activities. The Residential Manager communicates all significant behavioral changes in behavior level and notable incidents to the designated supervisory personnel. The residential Manager acts as liaison and advocates for community resources. The Residential Manager is also responsible for ensuring a safe, therapeutic environment and adhering to all safety standards, Federal and State regulations and corporate policies. Ensure that services are rendered according to SERV Achievement Centers mission and SERV BHS ethical standards. The Residential Manager is required to cooperate with the Office of Licensing and Division staff in any inspection or investigation. Performs additional duties as deemed necessary by supervisor.

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience: Employee must be 21 years of age. Bachelors degree preferred with 2 years of experience. Associates Degree with 3 years of experience, and a High School diploma required with 4 years of experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Drivers license valid in the state of New Jersey plus three year driving history and a driving record in good standing.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability: Ability to read, write and communicate well. Ability to document in the individuals charts and treatment plans required. Ability to do simple math required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel a plus. Knowledge of current principles and practices of behavioral healthcare, specific to the developmentally disable population.
Additional Requirements: Successfully completes DDD Modules of Medication Administration, Overview of Developmental Disabilities, Abuse and Neglect, CPR/First Aid within 120 days of hire date. Successfully completes training in agency approved procedure for handling life threatening emergencies/Danielles Law and HIPAA training prior to working directly with the consumer. Maintains current CPR/First Aid and Mantoux requirements.
Physical Requirements: Mobility and ability to bend and reach during an 8-12 hour shift. Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to evaluate and treat client needs. Fine motor skills and legible and accurate writing of reports, daily correspondence and presentation either manually or orally. Able to sit approximately 2-3 hours per shift, stand or walk 6-10 hours per shift, and drive a company van 1-4 hours per shift. Ability to work a 12-hour day. Managers must be able to complete Crisis Management Training and implement crisis management techniques when needed at all times.
