Possess chemical/mechanical/electrical aptitude to test a wide range of analytical instrumentation and setup sensitive measuring devices and equipment.
Conduct experiments as defined by or in conjunction with other team members. This may include Quality, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, and SW teams.
Troubleshoot and repair failed analytical instrumentation and document root cause.
Collect and summarize test data, documentation of analyzer protocols, and communication of test results.
Embraces lab safety and environmental policies. Accurately follows established environmental, health, and safety procedures.
Chemical lab housekeeping and maintenance. Ensures Quality lab areas are clean and organized.
Maintenance of analytical instrumentation and water systems to ensure continuous operation.
Engage with ISO 9001 and VPP Star Quality Efforts.
Assist other departments such as Technology and Operations to provide backup coverage and additional support as required.
Qualifications / Requirements
Associates degree in chemistry.
At least 1 year working experience in a chemical laboratory or manufacturing facility.
Ability to work in a team environment on multiple projects.
Strong troubleshooting and failure analysis skills
Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Detailed oriented; ability to prioritize activities, manage OBA and Reliability test schedules.
1-5 years experience in a laboratory and/or manufacturing environment.
B.S. or B.A. degree in chemistry or related science.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation.
Knowledge of water chemistry and experience with standard methods for measuring contaminants in a water matrix.
Ability to utilize statistical tools and methods in conducting work.
Enthusiastic self-starter with desire to learn new skills and advocate for lab/process improvements
