About the Role:
Responsible for accuracy and attractiveness of resident s meal.
Responsible for ensuring that all areas of the kitchen are cleaned
thoroughly before kitchen closes.
Responsible for closing and securing the kitchen at night.
Job Responsibilities:
a) Oversees the evening operations and personnel for the Dining
Services Department
b) Makes frequent inspections of all work, storage, and serving areas
to determine that regulations
and policy and procedures are followed.
c) Ensures all record keeping, including inventory, temperature logs,
spread sheets, production
sheets, etc. are kept up to date, are properly completed and are in
compliance with standards.
d) Organize and directs functioning of Dining Service Department for
evening operations.
e) Ensures staff works within Schedules hours
f) Ensures evening staff completes assigns duties.
g) Routinely checks food production and dining service during all meal
h) Runs up special orders to all neighborhoods.
i) Inspects department at the end of the shift for compliance with
sanitary and safety regulations and
maintenance of established standards for Department operation.
j) Other duties per Director of Dining Services request.
k) May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions and/or
hazardous chemicals.
Required skills and qualifications
Ability to read and speak English
Two years or more of experience in restaurant or institutional food
Able to organize, distribute, and follow through on work production.
Capable of replacing staffing in times of shortages
Must be able to relate to and work with the elderly
