Opportunity Development Manager

We are looking for an Opportunity Development Manager that will join our Marketing team within our growing Literacy business. This person will play a pivotal role in helping take us to the next level by executing on strategies for growing, training, and coaching a small team. This person will be a key contributor to our marketing and sales activities by leveraging their past experience in both areas in order to help develop and maintain infrastructure, processes, and strategies. We value hard work, a positive attitude, and are looking for an individual who is willing to roll-up their sleeves to work with the team, not just manage it. Location: This position will ideally be based within a reasonable distance of our Concord, MA office location. Remote work may be possible, however the majority of time will need to be spent in the office.Essential Job FunctionsWork closely and collaboratively with leaders and team members in Marketing and Sales to develop and implement appropriate prospect plans that will drive quality opportunity production, revenue and market share in the K12 marketHire, coach, and manage a team of Opportunity Development Representatives (ODRs); Assign territories, set goals and provide training Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish and manage processes for customer facing teams Ensure the team maintains a clear understanding of our value proposition and our prospect personasManage day to day activities of the team (i.e. coaching/mentoring, reviewing lead volume, queues and dispositions, activity statistics, conversions, and pipeline generation) in our salesforce.com environmentMeasure and deliver on KPIsProvide leadership with accurate, timely forecasts along with weekly reports on team performance, including but not limited to key sales metrics (i.e. pipeline, activity and development scorecards)Ensure consistent opportunity qualiﬁcation and pipeline development by partnering with other internal Marketing teamsStrategically lead the effort to identify and implement prospecting methods aimed at increasing potential client engagement (i.e. messaging, cadence, activity and timing) best practices Ensure applicable sales and lead management policies and procedures are adhered to Leadership AttributesLead by example and inspire the team by being self-motivated, communicative and collaborative across departmentsBuild a team that listens to a customer's needs, fulﬁlls commitments and delivers world class solutions to provide an exceptional customer experienceIdentify key trends in top performers and provide guidance across the group to replicate success in current and future team membersUtilize a strong knowledge and understanding of customer buying cycles to mentor and educate teamCreate and drive consistent lead and meeting qualiﬁcation processes in order to increase overall opportunity pipelineFoster an environment of continuous improvement that encourages everyone to develop subject matter and marketplace expertiseEssential Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience7 to 10 years of experience in both Marketing and Sales3 to 5 years of experience in an Inside Sales (or similar) Management roleEducational technology, language, literacy, K-12 market experience highly preferredProven ability to drive business growth by creating new business opportunities and generating leads through creative meansStrong ability to network and navigate within a matrix organizationExperience using CRM tools such as Salesforce.com or similarExperience in coaching and leading a team to be successful in reaching sales goalsExperience with sales engagement platforms (i.e. Salesloft), SaaS, Solution Selling helpfulProﬁcient use of Google Suite and MS SuiteAbility to work from oﬃce and travel up to 15%At Rosetta Stone we speak, learn, and interact differently, we embrace and thrive on these differences!
