Opportunity to learn new skills and work in a great production environment. The 2nd shift, 3:00pm to 1:30am either Sunday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Saturday. Pay is $15 to $16 an hour (plus $2 to $4 depending on the shift you work). You will be performing various optical fabrication processes including but not limited to: beveling, milling, blocking, grinding, polishing, curve generation, and inspection/measurements. Responsibilities: Cleans, inspects and measures more advanced/complex substrates to ensure quality. Will typically perform work on crystals and larger optics that require hand cleaning. Packages optical components May use spectrometer to perform scans of optical components Sets up tooling Loads parts into chambers Starts coating runs May perform tooling fit checks/reviews May prepare shipping documents Able to read and comprehend prints for determining specs on surface quality, substrate dimensions, arrow marking for side one and side two, packaging requirements May begin training and/or perform second check chamber start Teamwork - works effectively within team. High School diploma required ITAR US Citizen or Permanent resident Ability to read and comprehend blueprints; understands process steps.
