Back to Job Navigation (Rewards) Responsibilities This role is responsible for executing the SAS Mission Assurance vision and strategy for the Supplier Quality Organization. The incumbent will need to partner with Mission Area Programs, Operations, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain and Mission Assurance leaders to achieve Mission Assurance and Mission Area goals. Responsible for Supplier Quality Mission Assurance activities across all geographic regions and supply base. Developing and mentoring talent. Improves the overall quality and capability of the organization by attracting, retaining and growing a capable, dedicated workforce. In order to be successful, the Director, Mission Assurance Supplier Quality will need to: * Leverage corporate sourcing and performance intelligence. Qualify potential suppliers, assessment and input to selection of program-specific suppliers, and ongoing independent assessment of supplier performance. * Evaluate suppliers prior to prime contract award to assure capabilities and comprehension of flow down requirements, including past supplier performance data if available. Collaborate with Contracts and Supply Chain in risk management and evaluation of suppliers throughout the program life cycle and during capture efforts. * Ensure programs integrate the Raytheon Enterprise Supplier Assessment (RESA) toolset into program plans and schedules. Perform or assist in supplier surveys, audits and assessments. Release the program supplier quality assurance plan to include Mission Assurance flow down requirements. * Provide input to, review and approve supplier statement of work and other contractual flow down subcontract documentation. Provide resident and/or itinerant supplier source oversight at major subcontractors and critical suppliers of hardware and software. * Provide input to the supplier rating systems and take necessary action for supplier performance improvement needs. Perform review and trend analysis of supplier nonconformance. Act as a member of the Supply Chain Management Corrective Actions Board (CAB). Manage supplier nonconforming material processing, including controlled storage area and return to vendor. Required Skills: * Minimum of 14 years of experience in a Supply Chain, Mission Assurance, Operations, Engineering, or Quality. * Excellent communication skills and presentation making ability. Excel at Executive Level relationships and interaction. * Lead a diverse, virtual Mission Assurance team and be a catalyst for accountability, empowered ideas, R6s, continuous improvement, promoting trust and respect, and strong two-way communication * Experience with the fundamentals of Quality, Quality Engineering principles, Quality Management systems, and Mission Assurance principles * Proven experience and ability to drive effective root cause analysis and corrective / preventive action * Experience in effective business capture processes and development of proposals * Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills, highly computer literate desktop computing and application programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) * Must have the ability to travel * Strong leadership skills and ability to be a change agent * Experience anticipating internal customers' needs and gaps, and providing solutions to reduce cycle-time and cost that position SAS to win new business and achieve AOP plans * Collaborate with the business area cross-functional leadership team and BAMAs to identify potential safety, reliability and quality systemic issues, and sponsor or lead develop/implementation of SAS-wide solutions. * U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date. * U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
