The Customer CareRepresentative Converses and interfaces with customers, accurately enters orderinformation, and maintains customer relations and records. The Customer CareRepresentative handles general inquires and assists and supports others in theachievement of company or departmental goals, and is operative in all aspectsof international order handling and fulfillment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enters orders timely and researches and issues credits when needed. Processes annual returns.
  • Coordinates freight claims with freight carriers and / or outside freight processing company and obtains competitive freight quotes for large and international orders.
  • Provides customers and agents requested product information, including but not limited to trim colors, literature requests, promotions, new products, sales, orders, etc. Answers general ?which product to use? technical questions and pre-screens technical calls for applicability.
  • Interacts with other departmental personnel regarding customer requests, inquires or concerns/complaints. Answers in-coming phone calls and handles inquiries.
  • Prepares documentation, including HazDeks, for international air and ocean shipments, North America Free Trade Act and Customs Certificates.
  • Enters and coordinates shipment for all international orders. Coordination to include maintaining accurate product information, preparing required documents, liaising with freight forwarders and handling customer inquiries.
  • Monitors and maintains order entry system to ensure promotions and other discounts are priced properly.
  • Initiates and helps maintain customer files.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude towards the company, management, other employees and customers. Fosters a collaborative / cooperative work environment by assisting and supporting others in the achievement of company goals.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement (both in time and money) in job related matters.
  • AdditionalResponsibilities:

  • Keeps current with changes applicable to job, including computer software, product changes and changes to international order handling. HazMat certification required.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures.
  • Performs duties in compliance with quality and safety policies, procedures and programs.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and supports company?s mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
  • Qualifications

    Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Bachelor?s degree is preferred.
  • 1 year of customer care experience is required, 3 years is preferred.
  • Previous ERP and Excel experience is preferred.
  • Functional & TechnicalSkills:

  • Highly proficient in work-related software, e.g. Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts
  • Excellent communication skills including good grammar, voice and diction.
  • Self-starter able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Understands and practices confidentiality/privacy of personnel information.
  • Able to problem solve.
  • Applies common sense understanding to complete instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Solves problems for customers and coworkers expediently.
