Job Responsibilities The academic fieldwork coordinator is responsible for the program's compliance with the fieldwork requirements of Standards Section C.1.0 in adherence of ACOTE. To provide leadership, management, planning and coordination in the Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Responsible for teaching OTA curriculum, assessing program learning outcomes and student learning outcomes, recruiting, enrolling, advising and retaining students. Support the academic mission of the OTA program, the Division of Health Science, and the college as a whole. Minimum and Additional Requirements Faculty teaching associate degree courses not designed for transfer to the baccalaureate degree: bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline, or associate's degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Must be a licensed or eligible for licensure in South Carolina as a COTA or OTR. Degree must be awarded by an institution that is accredited by a USDE ?? recognized regional or national accrediting body. Additional Comments Requires flexible work hours, day and/or evening classroom assignments. Travel throughout the service area is required due to the expectation of monitoring clinical performance of students; and may require travel, possibly overnight, to attend workshops, conferences and/or training. Ability to represent the College and support the OTA program. Some lifting is required.
