Job Summary

Nassau Re (\"Nassau\" or \"NSRE\") seeks a dynamic leader to champion business development across its asset management vertical, which includes Nassau Asset Management LLC (\"NAMCO\"), Nassau Corporate Credit (\"NCC\"), Nassau Private Credit (\"NPC\"), Nassau Alternative Investments (\"NAI\"), and Nassau CorAmerica (\"NCA\"), which collectively manage investments for both affiliate and third-party capital across a number of strategies including leveraged loans, CLOs, real estate, and alternatives.

The Business Development role will be responsible for growing Nassau's brand as a third-party asset manager, generating assets for existing strategies as well as new investment management business and managing the pipeline of opportunities including detailed forecasting and planning. The individual will become a key leader in strengthening market presence and changing the complexion of the capital base by marketing NSRE as a highly capable asset manager.

Position will be based in Darien CT, NYC, or Hartford CT Office.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

* Refine and expand Nassau's presence as an asset manager in the alternatives space with a focus on CLO and real estate asset classes.
* Leverage contacts to further growth of NSRE's external AUM.
* Manage new/initial conversations with investors to promote quality lead generation and focus. Engage portfolio managers at the right stage and ensure advancement of dialogue.
* Maintain flexibility and depth of knowledge when educating investors on Nassau's value proposition.
* Source and highlight product development opportunities and execute on fundraising strategies and goals. Leverage existing relationships of the firm and its affiliates to enhance near term asset raising.
* Craft internal processes and implement effective CRM to build operating leverage across strategies.
* Direct marketing to institutional investors including Consultants, Endowments, Family Offices, Insurance Companies, OCIOs, Pensions, Sovereign Funds, Banks, Hedge Funds and BDCs.
* Manage Investor Relations with existing fund investors.
* Support a cohesive culture among Nassau's affiliate asset managers and understand the value of breaking down \"silos\" to optimize the client focus mentality necessary to grow business.
* Oversee marketing plans and strategic initiatives and establish the highest standards of client service.
* In coordination with affiliates, facilitate client onboarding functions and ensure that portfolio managers are charged with continuous innovation in tracking activities.
* Assist with preparation of marketing materials
* Respond to Requests for Proposal (\"RFP's\") and Due Diligence Questionnaires (\"DDQ's)
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Direct experience in asset management and investments with a significant portion of time dedicated to marketing and/or business development. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
* Proven track record of growing third-party AUM by leveraging a diverse asset management function and marketing a consistent message to investors.
* Deep understanding of available technology and ability to implement, or direct implementation of best in class CRM.
* Natural self-starter with an appreciation for extreme ownership, accountability, and commitment to the intensity and challenges presented by the needs of a growing business.
* Direct experience with development of marketing strategies and materials
* Direct experience with production of RFP's and DDQ's
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong presence and the ability to be versatile in a fast paced, high growth organization. Sensitive to and accountable for upholding high cultural standards.
