As the Finance Analyst, you will be involved in running the day-to-day financial operations to help support the business in implementing its strategy to accomplish its mission. This can mean analyzing trends, ensuring the integrity of data, managing the financial needs of the company to scale efficiently and effectively and a whole lot more! We are looking for someone who is passionate, detail-oriented, organized and works well independently to join our growing team.Key Responsibilities* Perform monthly and financial close process and assist in preparation of financial reporting packages;* Perform reconciliation of balance sheet accounts in connection with the close, ensure expenses on the income statement are recorded appropriately and in the correct period;* Perform Accounts Payable, Treasury and Revenue Recognition functions;* Provide support to external auditors on the annual financial audit;* Ensure controls are operating effectively and work with team to implement improvements;* Participate in the implementation of a new general ledger system and ensure appropriate design and functioning of the new system;* Partner with Operations and Engineering to help build out financial controls and ensure integrity of data for financial reporting;* Assist with technical accounting analysis over Revenue Recognition, Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses and Consolidation;* Participating in ad-hoc accounting and finance analyses and projects.Characteristics of a successful candidate* 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, fintech or startup preferred.* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or related field.* Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.* High attention to detail and the ability to analyze information and processes.* Ability to identify and implement process improvements.* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.* Ability to function independently and effectively in a self-directed environment.* Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.* Motivation to develop and maintain internal and external relationships.
