Manages employee benefit plans, leads in the development and administration of employee compensation plans, and administration of the human resource information system (HRIS) to achieve Company goals and employee satisfaction. Provides benefits, compensation and HRIS expertise and support to the CHRO, line HR, management, and staff including more complex questions regarding pay and benefit practices and plans. Responsible for the daily activities of the benefits and HR information systems programs for the Company. Stays abreast of government regulations, benefit program trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations. Accountable for ensuring compliance including 5500s, SPDs, FLSA, ADA, ERISA, ACA, FMLA, etc. Reviews survey data on industry standards and practices to determine competitive positioning of the Company benefit offerings. Participates with benefit consultants/brokers and CHRO in evaluation of services, coverage, premiums, plan administration, and options to determine programs to meet needs of organization. Implements and manages employee benefit programs such as health and welfare insurance plans, employee assistance, tuition assistance, retirement, and other plans. Oversees the development and maintenance of written and electronic materials and documents for benefit programs, including annual enrollment and new employee orientation. Manages benefit open enrollment schedules and leads meetings and/or information sessions, drafts and sends employee communications, answers questions or inquiries, and transmits enrollment data to vendors or administrators. Prepares and communicates information to employees and former employees regarding benefit programs, procedures, changes, enrollments, and government-mandated disclosures. Answers employee benefit questions and resolves problems. Audits benefit plans for accuracy and compliance with government regulations. Manages Company leave of absence programs including Family and Medical Leave, Short Term Disability and personal LOA. Collects benchmark salary data and submits to regional and national compensation and benefits survey companies. Conducts job analyses to determine appropriate salary level according to compensation guidelines and policies formulated by CHRO. Develops and implements salary administration guidelines. Consults with line HR and business managers to set appropriate salaries by role. Creates and revises job descriptions and reviews compensation levels. Analyzes Company compensation practices and makes recommendations for salary changes to ensure equity. Maintains HR information management system including employee benefit plans. Coordinates transfer of data to external vendors, plan providers, auditors, and consultants. Creates reports to support effective management of benefit and compensation plans.
