We are looking for an individual with 1 to 2 years of construction experience. It may be required to work 5 to 6 days a week, as required per job conditions. The job will entail working outside in various weather conditions, climbing ladders, walking on exterior ground, lifting, pushing, pulling, cleaning construction debris, and working with heavy equipment. A team player attitude is needed to work with the crew in groups or pairs.
Prevailing Wage Rates
The individual in this position is responsible for cleaning and preparing construction sites for the erection of structures and buildings. Unloads and loads materials, tends machines, mixes concrete, pours concrete, and assists carpenters, equipment operators, and other construction site workers. Employees may be a rigger, concrete crewman, demolition laborer; including salvaging all material, loading, cleaning up, wrecking, dump man, flagman, guardrail/ fence erector and installer, including installation and erection of fence, guard rails, medial rails, reference posts, guide posts and right-of-way markers, form strippers, general laborers, riprap man, scale man, stake jumper, structure mover, includes foundation, separation, preparation, cribbing, shoring, jacking and unloading of structures, water nozzleman, truck loader, water boy, tool room attendant, or other assigned by the leadman or foreman.
Assists in building structures and around the construction site.
Cleans work areas and restocks supplies and materials as necessary.
May assist in rigging material and equipment to me moved or unloaded/loaded.
May mix concrete or grout using a hoe or powered concrete mixer.
May assist in the placement of concrete for walls, slabs, sidewalks, curbs, etc.
May assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and workpieces during installation.
May perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
May perform demolition of concrete and equipment.
May direct trucks and traffic around the jobsite.
May install handrail both temporary and permanent.
May strip formwork after the concrete is placed.
May clean coolers and distribute water to work areas around the jobsite.
May work as a tool room attendant distributing tools or providing minor repairs.
Performs other routine duties as directed by experienced craft person.
Additional industry specific and safety training will be provided as needed.
Work in excess of a 40-hour work week may be necessary.
Must have access to reliable transportation.

Works to achieve the production goals set by the foreman or leadmen each day.
Supports the project during concrete placements, demolition activities, etc.
Communicates needs to the leadman or foreman in a timely manner.
Ensure a Zero Punch list attitude is maintained. No rework should be required to occur.
Has a sense of pride in individual work and the work of the team. Remember, your work has your name on it.
Ensure that existing or previously installed work is protected from damage.
Ensure materials being installed are correct.
