Position Summary

This position will be a part of the Cyber NYC Applied Learning Initiative, a collaborative endeavor between the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), and several academic and industry entities charged with the mission of establishing New York City as a global leader in cybersecurity education, training, and talent. Cyber NYC is a $100 million suite of public-private investments to establish New York City as a global leader in cybersecurity and catalyze jobs. The initiative will strategically grow NYC s cybersecurity diverse talent pipeline and workforce, help companies thrive, and build networks and community spaces.

The Project manager will work to establish the Stackable Credentials Program, which will provide life-long learning and stackable credentialing through one-month, self-paced online modules focused on Cybersecurity topics and created by industry. An innovative approach to education, micro-credentialing will enable students to take tailored coursework throughout their lives according to industry s evolving needs. By operating across New York City universities and securing credit-sharing agreements, this program will widen the availability and flexibility of Cybersecurity education and help make New York City a global leader in Cybersecurity education. Supervise and manage the Stackable Credentials program efforts, with an eye for continuous quality improvement and the holistic online student experience. This position will work to ensure all online offerings meet the department, School, and University s standards for quality as well as actively seeking out opportunities to continuously improve and enhance offerings through improving internal development processes, applying new research, investigating and piloting new educational technology, and providing faculty development opportunities. Additionally, the position will work with online student services to enhance the extracurricular experience of online students at NYU Tandon. The position manages staff experienced in online learning and instructional design for current and future online courses and projects.

Qualifications

Required Education:Bachelor's Degree in related area requiredPreferred Education:Master's DegreeRequired Experience:5+ years in online learning environment and experience at an academic institution working with high-level faculty and department heads as well as executive teamRequired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of educational pedagogy, particularly as it relates to online teaching and learning Possess proficiency in multiple educational technology software, tools, and platforms. Possess advanced computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Adept at online delivery of training using a learning management system. Display superior verbal, written, presentation and facilitation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and successfully Ability to collaborate with all levels of management and faculty Ability to work with the department as a team and understand the objectives in daily operations and long term goals
