Position Summary

NYU?s prestigious Stern School of Business has a challenging opportunity for an Assistant Director of Academic Planning. The Assistant Director will manage the academic planning of the required Coaching for Impact MBA sessions, 45-50 cross-listed courses per year, alternate delivery courses, new degree programs and all prep courses. The Assistant Director will co-direct scheduling of over 1300 Graduate and Undergraduate course sections per year. This role will develop, manage, and maintain course databases and operations in course descriptions, specializations, and prerequisites. He/she will also manage various web-related projects such as developing content for the office website and will monitor and implement current and new office policies and procedures.

Qualifications

The selected candidate will have a bachelor?s degree and 3 years of relevant experience supervising office operations and staff. Excellent organizational, project management, writing, and problem solving skills are essential. Ability to communicate policies and procedures to a diverse group is a must, as well as a demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain strong working relationships. Knowledge of Brio, IQUEL query, advanced Excel, and PeopleSoft preferred. Experience in a large, highly selective college or university or in a non-profit organization also preferred.
