CTO/CDO Chief of Staff

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a superstar who is versatile, ambitious, has high intellectual horsepower, and exceptional quantitative skills. This role will be focused on strategic, analytic and communications initiatives with high visibility across the senior leadership team.

You will report directly to the CTO/Chief Data Officer and gain deep exposure in a transformed pure play Information Services company. This role will work with the CTO s senior leadership team, and other stakeholders to drive the development and execution of current project and strategic growth plans needed to support our most critical program priorities. You will enable the CTO to execute strategically, ensure full alignment within our leadership team, and be a key driver in the growth of Neustar. In this position, you will be highly influential as you assist with the execution of strategic plans, business management, internal communications, and cross-functional initiatives.

As a trusted member of the team, you will be a confidante on all topics relating to strategy, growth, operations, prioritization and feedback. You will be a key stakeholder in both confidential and high-visibility projects across the Leadership Team. This is a truly unique opportunity to play a key role at a high-growth company.

Here s How You ll Make a Difference:

  • Utilize your financial, business and project management skills to manage and complete various technology/company oriented projects, removing them from the CTO s plate.
  • Provide timely and consistent updates to the CTO and other leaders in order to facilitate teamwork and accountability
  • Use sound judgement to execute on deliverables both internally and externally.
  • Leverage your teamwork, communication and collaboration skills to ensure alignment, prioritization and successful execution of strategy & planning initiatives across the organization
  • Provide project management knowledge to key strategic initiatives identified by the CTO to convert those strategies into actionable tactics that influence without authority across multiple team initiatives and senior leaders
  • Own the production and coordination of KPIs, presentations, stakeholder updates and other planning/governance-related reporting deliverables
  • Leverage critical thinking and analysis stills to maintain a deep understanding of the competition (both existing and potential) and monitoring the competitive landscape and emerging industry trends, designing reports and presentations to display results and impacts
  • Identify the best channels and formats for distribution of information; tactically execute communications in a clear and timely manner
  • Monitor information flow, act as a gatekeeper, engage the leaders in the process at the right moment;
  • Become knowledgeable enough to advise and make recommendations after researching and analyzing relevant data,;
  • Create standard reporting and integrated calendar to provide status and health of all initiatives, enable tradeoffs/counter measures and track progress against outcomes;
  • Monitor and provide awareness of all milestones / deliverables for all phases on a routine basis, driving teams to deliver on schedule;
  • Ensure productive meetings, structure agendas and facilitate meeting preparation and follow up;
  • Be comfortable influencing the organization through direct and indirect reporting relationships;
  • Identify areas for efficiency gain, cost reduction, or program improvement;

  • Demonstrated project management, analytic and decision making skills
  • Capacity to balance both short and long-term issues effectively and handle many simultaneous and often conflicting priorities
  • Ability to relate effectively up, down, and across the organization
  • Ability to simplify complex information and design clear, value focused messages to a variety of audiences under tight timeframes
  • Intellectual curiosity paired with a high growth-mindset.
  • Positive and consistent; good sense of humor is a plus!
  • The Fine Print:

  • A BA/BS Degree is required, MBA a plus
  • Previous project management, chief of staff (10+ years), ideally supporting a CEO or C-suite member in a 1-1 partnership at high-growth organizations.
  • Experience in management consulting, operations, executive management or similar. Private equity experience a plus.
  • Advanced MS Office, particularly Project Management and PowerPoint skills
