You will report to the Group Head of Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) and will be principally engaged in ongoing management and remediation of the issues, the metrics (including reporting), and the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) for TPRM.. This position requires a deep understanding of CFR 12 - Part 30, Banks & Banking Safety and Soundness, Appendices B & D, as well as, administrative pronouncements 1) OCC Bulletin 2013-29, Third Party Relationships, and 2) FRB SR 13-19/CA 13-21, Guidance on Managing Outsourcing Risk to the Company's Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) program, 3) CFPB Bulletin 2016-02 on Service Providers, FDIC FIL 44-2008 on Guidance for Managing Third-Party Risk.. In this role, you will quickly get up to speed on other applicable rules and guidance impacting the TPRM program including those from agencies such as the FFIEC, other U.S. regulators (e.g., the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc. (FINRA), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), etc.), and foreign-based regulators (e.g., Japan's Financial Services Agency, Canada's Superintendent of Financial Institutions and those in Latin American).. Policy coverage encompasses the following MUFG affiliated entities: MUFG Americas Holdings Corporation and subsidiaries (MUAH), including MUFG Union Bank N.A., MUFB Bank's U.S. branches as well as those in Canada and Latin America, MUS USA, and MUTB's U.S. branch.. If so, we would love to talk with you!. *Major Responsibilities:**. + Ensuring effective ongoing compliance with the Operational Risk Management RCSA process;. + Review periodic updates to MUAH TPRM Governance structures and processes to maintain alignment with RCSA and metrics;. + Ensuring enterprise-level third party risk management policy and third party risk metrics are established, monitored, and reported on to support regulatory expectations;. + Coordinate implementation efforts to update metrics, procedures, process documents, training and communication across multiple partner groups to successfully disseminate new expectations;. + Work with key partners to define improvements in metrics and reporting to effectively monitor the risk level of MUAH's third party portfolio;. + Contribute input into the Third Party Risk Management System and Process. + Contribute to training materials and educating senior management on roles and responsibilities;. + Participate in industry associations to gain insight on standard methodologies around the use of metrics within a TPRM program, especially for Second Line of Defense;. + Liaise with internal auditors, external auditors and regulators;. + Evaluate opportunities for improved metrics efficiency and consistency;. + Support regular reporting to division leaders and formal committees;. + Maintain a current and accurate mapping of internal controls to regulatory requirements; and. + Support managing, reporting, and remediation of all TPRM Open Issues and MRAs.. *Qualifications**. *Qualifications**. + You have strong academic credentials - BA or BS degree, with an advanced degree in law, finance, business, sourcing, risk management, or related fields being highly desirable. + 10 years of experience in bank compliance, audit, risk, legal or related positions. + You are an excellent communicator. + You are analytical and pride yourself on your critical thinking skills. + Excellent attention to detail. + Facility with Microsoft Office 365 products including Word, PowerPoint, and project related software packages with strong Excel skills. + Ability to handle multiple, complex tasks and responsibilities simultaneously, and with demonstrated independence. + You work well under the direction of multiple partners. + Ability to lead highly diverse team of specialized staff in the area of third party risk management. + You have a reputation for integrity, accuracy, consistency, big picture orientation and business insight.
