The Data Analyst I may direct the movement of data across multiplesystems; oversee its validation and organization and make sure that it isavailable to appropriate people and systems within an organization.Duties and Responsibilities:* Implements the bestpractices in data management to ensure the integrity of the data, the qualityof data processes and deliver analyzable or analyzed data to a variety ofinternal and external clients of the Medical Center.* Maintains data integrityand supports data analysis as necessary.* Make recommendations andassist in data capture, data extraction and analysis.* Develop, maintain orimplement procedures for data entry, data cleaning, documentation and otheradministrative tasks.* Document, implement,maintain or recommend operating methods to improve processing, distribution,data flow, collection, database editing procedures.* May define parametersfor file or space utilization.* Assists faculty andstaff with queries, statistical analyses, reports and technical difficultiesrelated to data retrieval.* Designs and writescustom applications needed to ensure the database meets requirements for the entry,management and reporting of data.* Identifies andrecommends solutions to data management issues.* Trains staff withvarying degrees of knowledge to effectively use the database system.* Maintains knowledge ofthe current regulations and technologies related to data management.* May oversee data entrystaff and other less experienced Data Coordinators/Analysts.* May write and preparemanuscripts and other materials for internal and external audiences.* May access data in theData Warehouse.* Performs other relatedduties.What You'll Bring:* Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/workexperience.
