Since our founding in late 2018, we ve rescued 10 million pounds of organic produce and made it accessible to millions of people in the Eastern U.S.

We re looking to hire our first in-house Recruiter to help us scale our rapidly growing team. You ll sit in our NYC office and help hire for both our NYC office and Philadelphia HQ. You ll help decide the future of recruiting at Misfits, help shape what our teams will look like, help build our Misfits culture, and help raise the bar with each hire we bring on. You ll partner with our hiring managers to define hiring goals, strategize the recruiting process, and manage in-bound prospects / talent search.

What You ll Do

  • Help design, build, improve, and scale our recruiting pipeline and candidate lifecycle
  • Work with hiring managers to define roles, implement recruiting strategies, target desirable candidates, and design interview processes
  • Work with leadership on hiring goals and strategy
  • Screen resumes at the top of funnel and manage candidates through our process without missing a beet
  • Keep candidates up to date through our applicant tracking system (Workable)
  • Share recruiting process and best practices around the company
  • Drive offer process and salary negotiation


  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-4 years of experience with end-to-end sourcing / recruiting, preferably in-house
  • Experience hiring for both technical, business, and creative teams
  • Experience working in startups / small teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for the Misfits mission
