Mirbeau Inn & Spa is seeking experience Sous Chefs to join our back of house team. All Sous Chefs will be reporting to the Executive Chef. The essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Supervise and coordinate preparation of food in accordance with established Mirbeau recipes and specifications.
Prepare soups, vegetables, meats, desserts, hot and cold food items according to Mirbeau recipe standards
Develop and create unique food presentations as per Mirbeau standards
Ensure the highest quality and consistent presentation of all food in all outlets.
Control food cost and kitchen labor costs to achieve maximum profitability
Assist in inventories and proper rotation of food using FIFO
Assist the Executive Chef in ordering food products
Define, recommend and implement any and all ideas, problems and solutions to improve the operation.
Perform responsibilities as an Executive Chef when Executive Chef is not present
Perform any additional assignments directed by Executive Chef and General Manager
Ensure the kitchen and production areas are clean and maintained at highest safety standards.
Perform routine training for line cooks and culinary team members
