**DESCRIPTION**

MichaelBaker International is seeking a Tax Analyst to join the team in our
downtownPittsburgh, PA office. The successful candidate will leverage tax
knowledge andexperience across a broad area of responsibilities including
indirect taxes andincome taxes encompassing almost all the 50 states. In
addition, the TaxAnalyst will be heavily involved in accounting for income
taxes includingquarterly and annual provisions under ASC740.

* Prepare indirect taxreturns including sales and use, business privilege, property and businesslicense returns
* Coordinate and/or respondto various income and indirect tax notices
* Research laws andregulations surrounding company specific income and indirect tax issues
* Maintain a company-widetax calendar
* Prepare income and indirecttax journal entries monthly
* Reconcile and/or rollforward all tax general ledger accounts to ensure that such accounts are fairlystated
* Assist Tax Department invarious other requests as deemed appropriate, including quarterly and year-endincome tax provision and compliance work
* Work with otherdepartments to gather information necessary to prepare the U.S. federal, stateand local income tax returns and populate tax workbooks
* Maintain fixed assetcost basis and depreciation for U.S. federal and state tax purposes**

**PROFESSIONALREQUIREMENTS**

* Bachelors Degree inAccounting, Finance or related field; Masters Degree or CPA preferred
* Minimum of 3 years ofexperience in tax with a public accounting firm and/or industry
* ASC740 experience is aplus
* Strong ability toorganize, prioritize and work independently
* Good instincts, judgmentand discretion in communicating
* Must possess the personalityand skills to interact with and gain trust/respect from operations, financialand management personnel
* Excellent hands-onproblem solving and analytical skills
* Experience in workingwith an ERP system (e.g. Oracle) to extract tax information is a plus
* Proficient with Excel
* Experience with OnesourceTax Provision (OTP) and Compliance (OIT) software is a plus
* Ability to work withoutestablished guidelines, set priorities, and multi-task
* Out-of-town travel wellbe minimal (not greater than 10%)
