Company Description MHW reinvented how alcoholic beverages go to market in the United States and provides market-leading solutions for market access, sales fulfillment, and compliance management to producers and importers of alcoholic beverage globally. We are looking for a sales leader to manage our business development activities and oversee sales strategy and metrics across our MHW and BevStrat services. Strong candidates for this role will have a successful sales management track record in the beverage alcohol industry, particularly through enablement of a remote sales team. Business development teams at MHW and BevStrat engage with prospective clients to gain a full understanding of their business, brands and growth strategies, and identify solutions that will allow them to better control their brands destiny and drive growth in target markets. As Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for working with our executive team to develop our sales strategy and implementing that strategy to achieve desired sales outcomes. This includes evolving our current metrics environment and implementing best practices in account management, channel strategy, lead generation and management, and more. Critical Competencies: Identify and develop new business/market opportunities and channels to increase market awareness and drive revenue growth across our service offerings Oversee and develop the business development team to execute on existing and new company growth opportunities Manage KPIs and metrics for the sales and marketing functions, including evolution of KPIs over time to help our management team measure what matters for our business outcomes Demonstrated track record of successfully meeting and exceeding team sales goals in a metric-driven environment Willingness to dig into the detail behind our business and our data to understand our service offerings and develop insights that will unlock future growth opportunities Ability to grasp complex concepts quickly, while having the curiosity to ask questions to learn more about prospective client businesses, and strong interpersonal communication skills to build networks of talented people What background and experience is needed? The ideal candidate will possess a 4-year degree; an advanced degree is preferred Career experience that includes 2-3 years in either: a) alcoholic beverage industry; or b) sales enablement roles Candidates must be willing to travel both domestically and internationally Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and Salesforce You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
