The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of the change strategy and communication approaches for MSK's Human Resources Department. The primary focus will be to develop and implement change management plans that minimize employee resistance, accelerate adoption of change, and deliver the desired employee experience. Primary responsibilities are to develop and execute change management plans, provide stakeholder influence, and craft appropriate messages to support the change associated with large scale enterprise wide projects and other HR Projects resulting in change impacting employees. A consultative skill set and approach to problem solving, as well as a flexible and collaborative working style are essential. You should be comfortable leveraging standard tools and best practices from prior experience to best meet project needs. The work requires the individual to be highly adaptable to change, work within tight timelines, and manage multiple priorities.
* Develop and deliver Change Management plans to support the HR / Payroll Transformation Program, an enterprise wide initiative redesigning and replacing HR, Payroll Systems and enhancing HR Operations * Provide analysis and guidance to the design, development, and delivery of training programs and support materials * Develop change and communication best practices by leveraging internal resources, establishing relationships with external subject matter experts, and conducting research and focus groups, etc. * Work with cross-functional project team members to identify and develop solutions for complex project issues, partnering closely to ensure active exchange of information and communication among team * Develop employee experience strategies based on awareness of the details of the change and the audiences impacted by the change * Use prescribed change management tools such as; change impact analysis, change communication and enablement plans, readiness assessments, and leadership engagement activities * Identify success metrics and regularly report on progress (including successes and gaps) * Successfully influence business leaders, understand and anticipate user needs and reaction to change * Act as a liaison between project leaders and business units across the institution, identifying pockets of resistance and anticipate user needs * Develop and manage Change Partner Networks to support the change initiative and enable the impacted business units * Identify Key Stakeholders and Assess their level of impact and sphere of influence and create plans to manage changes/resistance * Conduct Change Readiness surveys to identify a base line in organizational buy-in. Generate solutions that target business/individual needs. * Ensure message development and execution are consistent in voice, processes, tools and services provided to customers * Craft leadership communications, including presentations, memos, and performance reporting, with a focus on strategic messaging, persuasiveness, and visual attractiveness * Assist with the creation of training materials and supplemental documents, included but not limited to instructor-led training courses, facilitator guides, training videos, quick reference cards, computer-based trainings, job aids etc. that assures competency in the new processes or systems * Deliver in-person and video training to managers, employees, HR Functional users and other identified end users as needed * Oversee the planning and execution of organization wide engagement activities in support of education/training objectives * Partner with other communication functions to develop an integrated communication strategy that ensures consistency and effectiveness in change-related communications
* Adept at creating partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and goals * An outstanding communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communication based on that understanding * Willing to act and eager to pursue new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm * Flexible in your approach and demeanor to align with the shifting demands of evolving and complex circumstances * A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward
* Bachelor's Degree, preferably BA or BS in Business Management, Change Management, Communications or related field * Prosci Certification a plus * 7-10 years of Organizational Change Management working with a structured Change Management Methodology, Communications, change communications, employee engagement, or employee experience required * Must be able to work on impromptu assignments with tight deadlines * Ability to quickly absorb new concepts and ideas * Strong analytical and critical thinking skills #LI-POST
