Careers that Change Lives The Sr. Director, Supply Chain Surgical Innovations is responsible for providing leadership, direction and coordination from Global Supply Chain to IBP implementation and sustainability, the Supply Review, Project Management / Facilities and Business System IT implementation teams. Apply global supply chain leadership, knowledge and quantitative skills in a highly collaborative environment to meet business-critical supply chain objectives: IBP, inventory management, supply chain design and optimization, holistic KPI/Dashboard reporting and data analytics and system/tool adoption. Work with internal stakeholders across each of supply chain departments within Minimally Invasive Therapies Group and across Medtronic,creating a strategic road map for key operational initiatives. Partner with department leads to define and prioritize opportunities, identify interdependencies between key business drivers, and design analytics that can contribute to an overall business strategy or solution.
A Day in the Life Create, implement and maintain IBP Network Optimization Model Work with Supply Chain functional heads to lay out optimization processes, including IBP, strategic production planning, transportation mode selection and implementation, planning, etc. Develop and present SC optimization and network recommendations side by side with R&D, Marketing & Sales, NPD, Demand Planning, Operations to Senior Leadership Identify constraints in MITG s supply chain network and help create a plan to alleviate them, including capital projects Lead efforts to evolve MITG s Supply network reflecting consideration of cost and customer service Liaise with MITG / MDT IT department to create and implement solutions to reporting and analytics needs Develop team to evaluate and implement options for external solutions specifically CGEN4 Leverage MITG SC Data Analytics team to advance MITG SC Analytics agenda Manage the MITG SC Optimization and Data Analytics team Work with OpEx/ Engineering /Facilities functional heads to lay out optimization processes, including strategic production planning, footprint layout, transportation mode selection and implementation, planning, etc. Reinforces functional capabilities of implementation of CGEN4 (SAP), Resource Planning and Capacity tools, and other systems required to deliver the achievement of budgeted targets. Is responsible for ensuring completeness and accuracy of SAP at all times to support Supply Chain, IBP / S&OE, Mfg planning and Financial requirements. Also responsible for the improvement and or creation of system solutions and reports needed to drive Business Decisions
Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing/supply chain environment with 10+ years of managerial experience or advanced degree with 13+ years of supply chain experience and 10+ years of managerial experience.
Special Skills/Experience: Understanding of all Supply Chain, IBP and Operations functions
Nice to Have: Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or Engineering MBA or equivalent Master s degree with an emphasis on supply chain management, information systems, or industrial engineering Knowledge and experience in various process areas of supply chain: Plan, Source, Make, Deliver and Return. Experience with SIOP, S&OP and/or IBP. Ideal candidate will have transformed SIOP/IBP. Strategy and organizational development. Experience in the medical device or other regulated industry Experience with Lean Sigma methodologies. Green/Black Belt certification. Experience leading change initiatives to deliver business results Strong leadership, communication and facilitation skills Project Management experience and use of project management tools
