Manhattan College is seeking adjunct instructors to teach Introduction to Social Services (SOC 210) undergraduate course during the Spring 2020 semester. SOC 210 serves as a foundation course for students majoring in Sociology and concentrating in social services and social work. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but priority will be given to application received before 15 October 2019.
Candidates for consideration must have completed a Master's degree, be in active pursuit of a Ph.D., and have some prior teaching experience at the college or university level. Preference may be given to applicants who are ABD or who have completed their Ph.D. in sociology, social work, or social services. Proven excellence in teaching is a key factor for consideration. We are especially interested in faculty capable of fostering critical thinking and who are sensitive to Manhattan College's mission and commitment to social justice.
