Catalyst Experiential is looking to hire the first member of their Human Resources and Talent Acquisition team to drive and significantly shape the development of the organization. Their initial responsibilities will focus on hiring activities, from advertising open roles, to interviewing candidates, and onboarding hires, and then evolve to developing the HR infrastructure for Catalyst, including the development of a small team of HR professionals.

Ultimately, you will be responsible for the overall hiring process at Catalyst, including identifying, attracting, and securing qualified talent, while maintaining a positive candidate experience.

This role will report to the COO.

What you ll accomplish:

In the first 6 months:

  • Streamline the requisition posting and recruiting process (including establishing job descriptions, liaising with hiring managers across business units, actively sourcing and interviewing candidates, establishing salary banding, etc.)
  • Lay framework, in partnership with external recruiting firm, to scale across job functions (including establishing best practices and process, collaborating on recruiting strategy and implementation, etc.)
  • Partner with COO to finalize the training and onboarding process, and successfully facilitate onboarding of newly hired employees.
  • Train and advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques and assessment methods.
  • Create and maintain a database of potential candidates for future hiring.
  • Learn it all in partnership with the executive team, learn as much as possible about the real estate development business, the company business model, and the various roles and functions in the organization, including building relationships with the internal stakeholders.
  • In the next year to 18 months:

  • In partnership with an external firm, expand the brand and drive the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new employees to scale the organization.
  • As the organization expands, analyze roles and responsibilities to solidify internal organization and reporting structure.
  • Identify key areas of responsibility and cultivate necessary job descriptions and hiring approach for newly identified roles, including adding to the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition team.
  • Build and report on quarterly and annual hiring plans and strategy, including hiring metrics (time-to-hire, time-to-fill, source analysis, etc.
  • Develop and implement a communication plan for company benefits (401k program development, etc.)
  • What you ll bring:

  • 5-7+ years of professional experience in a Human Resources or Talent Acquisition position (including prior experience leading recruiting teams, sourcing and recruiting experience, and exposure to other relevant HR functions including onboarding, benefits administration, dispute resolution, etc.)
  • BS/BA in Human Resources Management, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration or another relevant field.
  • A proven track record as a Talent Acquisition Specialist (or similar function) and a passion for recruiting.
  • Hands-on experience with major job boards and related tools (including LinkedIn and LinkedIn Recruiter).
  • A high comfort with ambiguity and a desire to have a high-level of impact in the build and expansion of an organization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships, internally and externally, that demonstrate value.
