Role Summary

The Manager Marketing Strategy - Youth Development is responsible for conceptualization and execution of youth engagement /content marketing plans for the Junior Rangers and Junior Knicks programs. This person will serve as the family and youth consumer expert on behalf of the brand, establishing an in-depth understanding of these targets, and their relevant passion points to grow awareness, consideration, participation and retention for youth programming. The Manager will be responsible for applying Rangers and Knicks brand strategies to youth programming ensuring a consistent brand narrative across messaging and activities.

Specific Functions/Activities Summary

* Lead the development and ongoing execution of the marketing plan for the Junior Rangers and Junior Knicks programs, including of development of a marketing calendar, creative briefs, style guides and toolkits.
* Collaborate and coordinate across all marketing functions (e.g., partnerships, PR, media, creative, insights, digital, social) with internal stakeholders and external agencies and partners to ensure effective development and execution of marketing efforts for Junior programs.
* Work directly with the insights / analytics / database teams to analyze current fan/customer data, competitive activity, and market trends to build a solid understanding of our fan communities and customers in support of development of marketing strategies.
* Execute campaigns across channels (broadcast, social, online, experiential), working with departments to ensure campaign execution delivers on business needs and to deliver assets flawlessly and on time
* Operate as brand steward, ensuring consistency in how the brand narrative and campaign strategy shows up across all consumer touchpoint

Qualifications

* Detail-oriented, highly organized individual with strong project management expertise
* Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
* Understanding of the youth sports environment
* Experience playing/coaching youth basketball/sports
* 5+ years of marketing experience inclusive of strategy and 360 campaign development
* Significant experience with writing creative brief, managing budgets and timelines
* Strong understanding of digital strategy and proven ability to execute campaigns across social and online
* Proven track record of managing projects on-time and on budget in a fast paced environment
* Highly adaptable individual who will establish effective relationships across multiple departments and functional areas

Education

Candidates who have completed 60 credits of college-level coursework (representing 2 years), or have shown similar self-development through certifications, trade school coursework, etc. are preferred. Educational requirements may differ from job to job based on the role.
