Adoption Preservation therapists provide in-home mental health services to adoptive families related to a range of issues, including trauma, insecure attachment, mood disorders, adoption adjustment issues, and other challenges.
Services include assessment, treatment planning, family therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, parent education, and other advocacy and skill-building as necessary to meet the needs of assigned families.
Additionally, therapists complete documentation in compliance with Medicaid standards and state requirements.
Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling required. Clinical license (LCSW or LCPC) preferred. If no clinical license, must be eligible for and working toward clinical licensure.
A valid driver's license and a personal vehicle with adequate insurance.
Willingness to work some evening hours as necessary to meet client needs.
Interest in enhancing professional development through supervision and training on a range of topics and therapeutic modalities related to post-adoption mental health services.
