Lockheed Martin is looking for an experienced Staff Hardware Engineer/EMI/EMC Engineer at the Owego, NY facility. The LM Owego E3 team has the responsibility to assure Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) at the component, box and system/platform levels and to resolve Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) related issues to meet military customer specifications.
- Developing specifications and requirements for vendor-procured hardware
- Development of EMI control plans
- Assessing system/platform level interaction based on MIL-STD-464
- Developing detailed test plans for conducting tests of electronic systems and components
- Coordinating MIL-STD-461 testing (internal & external facilities), including oversight of testing, analysis of test results, and development of detailed reports containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for the test article
The selected individual will also perform basic analyses to predict component performance to established requirements, support field testing at external sites to validate performance of designs to requirements, and collect data on supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.

BS Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Engineering Physics degree or equivalent. Fundamental knowledge of electromagnetic field, circuit theory, and wave propagation.
Experience with hardware design for EMI/EMC and requirements/procedures of MIL-STD-461, 464 and DO-160 testing standards.
Excellent verbal/written communications and analytical skills appropriate for interaction with all team members (Internal and external customers, suppliers, hardware engineers, test staff & management)
The ability to obtain/maintain SECRET level clearance is required.Desired Skills:
Working knowledge of electronic measurement equipment. This includes the ability to take measurements using an oscilloscope and a Digital Volt Meter, or use of a Spectrum Analyzer and/or a Measurement receiver. Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.
Knowledge of EM theory to apply design techniques and design features to control electromagnetic (EM) emissions (intentional and un-intentional) and susceptibilities.
Experience with TILE software and EMI Analysis and circuit simulation tools for performing emissions & susceptibility analyses.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
