Our Orthopedics/Neuro Surgery/Pediatrics Unit: 30-Bed Orthopedic s/Neuro Surgery/Pediatrics Unit Primary Service line is Orthopedics Interdisciplinary collaboration with family, Rehab Services, Case Management, and Physicians. Gain experience with Neurological Diagnosis, Orthopedic procedures and recovery, and other areas. Under the direction of a Department Director, Nursing Clinical Coordinator, Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse, the Nurse Tech responsibilities include: Accountable and Responsible for Clinical Judgment Demonstrates knowledge and skill to provide patient care under the direction of the professional nurse. Documents required information according to hospital policy. Maintains neat and organized work place. Assists with admission/transfer/discharge process. Incorporates time management and prioritizes for efficiency and productivity. Stays abreast of new information pertaining to hospital/unit function and policies. Adheres to hospital and unit policies Communicates effectively and professionally with internal and external customers. At HCA, you have options. Qualifications EDUCATION: Colle ge level course work (preferred) LICENSURE: Licensed by the Virginia State Board of Nursing as a Nursing Assistant; or Enrollment in a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program within one year from date of hire; or Currently enrolled in a college-level healthcare program (required) American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Health Care Provider upon hire or within 30 days of employment (required) EXPERIENCE: Related healthcare experience (preferred) HOURS: Full-time (night shift) Weekend & Holiday coverage (as required) We are an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company.
