Senior Scientist Group Leader-Direct Hire Position (Salary 110-120K) Relocation Assistance 10-12KJob Summary: Overall management of project portfolio and direct reports. Responsible for projects and cross-functional interdepartmentally. Supervise daily aspects within the project. Design multiple components of a project. Ensure integration of all project components. Broad technical competence and responsibility. Act as advisor. Define activities and manage meeting deliverables internally and externally.Duties: Leads product development and/or QC efforts in the formulations, analytical, and/or microbiology areas. Conceptualizes and proposes development and testing strategies based on biopharmaceutic data. Responsible for project team leader duties of a development program that include: Direction and administrative duties including the coordination of efforts of team members and across departments; acting as spokesperson on development programs and interact positively and productively with clients; advising management on program status. Responsible for producing high quality documentation, client reports, etc. suitable for publication and regulatory requirements. Maintain broad knowledge of state of the art principles and theory; provides technical leadership in the group, serves as in-house advisor on key scientific discipline areas. Provide technical support clinical manufacturing and product testing. Responsible for developing/maintaining a current understanding of cGMP and other regulatory requirements. Identify potential inventions arising from work and develop patent applications. Responsible for the management and professional development of lower level scientists and associates; orient new employees as to the organization and department policies, and what results are expected of them. Review their position responsibilities with them. Communicate and administer procedures for the area in accordance with approved policies. Periodically analyze the workload and the staffing needs of the department; recommend increases or decrease to staff; prepare position documentation for new and/or modified positions; identify and define qualifications required for new and modified positions; interview candidates for opening and make hiring recommendations. Experience: Ph.D. and 5+ years directly related experience of B.S. and a minimum of 12 years related experience, or M.S. and 10 years related experience. Why Kelly ?
