General Summary:

Our Lead Ship Planner is a vital part of the KEEN Team and critically important in the Fan Engagement Center (FEC). The primary focus of the Lead Ship Planner is to serve as the subject matter expert on all routing guide requirements. The Lead Ship Planner will oversee all aspects of planning and shipping for customer orders on time and accurately along with leading the Ship Planning team, with direction from their Supervisor, to ensure success. The Lead Ship Planner is responsible for customer routing guides ensuring a high level of understanding of the customer requirements to eliminate charge backs and exceed partner expectations. The Lead Ship Planner will routinely communicate with partner logistics team and transportation carriers. Each Lead Ship Planner will become experts on all partners to ensure total understanding of requirements and expectations. The Lead Ship Planner will model KEEN values and act in accordance with KEEN s mission while representing the partner s business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serves as an example to other employees by consistently demonstrating exemplary work habits that contribute to teamwork, productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintains functional knowledge and skills to assist employees with daily workload as needed.
  • Develop cross training opportunities for Ship Planners
  • On all new routing guides, pull out key changes and ensure implementation with the ship planning team
  • Serve as the point person for change management
  • Be engaged with workload balancing throughout the team
  • Auditing the reporting and filing of paperwork
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all routing guides across all accounts
  • Monitor assigned accounts in WMS for required start and ship dates
  • Start routing for start dates and pack and hold dates based on policy
  • Manage planned and confirmed routing dates
  • Assemble all the required paperwork for shipping
  • Physically inspect customer shipments to ensure compliance with the customer routing guide
  • Manage with shipping dock personnel staging of orders for the next day s shipping schedule
  • Plan the daily shipping dock carrier arrivals for assigned customer pick-ups
  • Assign a loader and upon completion of the load, verify accuracy and manage variances
  • Upon verified load counts, deliver shipping documents to the carriers driver for signature
  • Maintain physical documents in customer file
  • Works with Partner Services to facilitate routing and pick up of all problem orders and carrier issues
  • Expediting completed aged, air orders and international orders
  • Interact with facility supervisors/managers to rapidly manage corrections on orders ready to ship
  • Identifies and reports problems and supports solutions to maintain excellent service and quality
  • Contributes to a positive work environment in a manner that is consistent with KEEN values and expectations; with the bottom line expectation of providing outstanding service to KEEN retail partners and fans
  • Shows respect for the KEEN brand and teammates
  • On time and reliable; meets or exceeds attendance requirements
  • The ability to frequently lift and shift boxes weighing an average of 30 to 40 pounds with a maximum of 65 pounds throughout a full shift of work
  • The ability to work in a standing or walking environment for 8-10 hour shifts
  • The ability to cross-train in other departments
  • The ability to comprehend and train associates in all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP s).
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years routing experience preferably in a footwear and apparel environment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Willing and able to work extended shifts extra days as needed
  • May be required to work overtime
  • Must be able to read and take direction across multiple platforms
